Vive la (sud de la) France! And the Midi and Rhone as well. Chateauneuf-du-Pape delivers strongly, and there's lots of other good stuff too.
There are a few Old World charmers to ease us into autumn, including great wines from Bordeaux and Tuscany. There's New Worlds too and, appropriately, this week it's about reds.
It's pinot noir time at the wine dispensary this week. A decent range, including Burgundies and other good examples, plus a truly great champagne.
It's Chile's turn this week at Vintages. The skinny: not the best effort, but at least cheap. France, California, Oz & NZ and a great buy from Portugal too.
It's a mixed bag this week, but as usual some good ones. I've put the focus on the whites for this release, but there are also reds, bubblies and rosés.
