My Blackberry - a year and a half old - is too antiquated for apps. But I have seen their usefulness on iPhones... Prolific Ottawa critic Natalie Mclean has just launched a Drinks Matcher app.
Natalie Mclean is a well known wine writer and she has a focus on food pairings. Mclean has long had a drinks matcher on her website and has now launched an app for iPhones and Blackberrys.
Like every other type of app, the number of wine-related ones is growing fast - wine newsfeeds, mini-wine course, winepad (to take notes and label pics and store them), wine wikis, winecellar, winepro... a brief click through a few suggests most of them are not generating much buzz.
Nat's version, however, is the 4th most popular paid app in the Lifestyle section on Apple.
